Cheryl Andrews to be published in "SmoKe and SaLt" quarterly

Here's the full version of the post that appeared earlier this week!

A note from Cheryl Andrews:

“Allyson Latta has worked her magic again, successfully bringing Allyson Alumni together. Allyson made me aware of Vivian Carter’s SmoKe and SaLt call for submissions for the Summer 2009 issue, Our Sacred Identity. My poem ‘The Frayed Map’ was accepted for inclusion in the edition. While the poem may not be considered memoir in its purest form, it does speak to a real point in (emotional) time for me.

“A special thanks to another Allyson alumna and fellow member of my writers’ group Life Writers Ink, Mary McIntyre, for her critique and heartfelt feedback on ‘The Frayed Map.’”

Cheryl Andrews is a writer, novice artist, photographer, accomplished leadership coach and lover of the natural world. She is a founding member of Life Writers Ink and serves on the Advisory Committee of Words Alive Literary Festival. Cheryl was raised in Southwestern Ontario and moved to York Region in 1998.

Vivian Carter, BFA, M. DIV., Dip. Th., who participated in one of Allyson's workshops at Fred Varley Art Gallery, is a meditative writer, artist, spiritual guide and retired minister. Never having found a literary art journal that explored the Soul and Spirituality, she decided to publish one herself.
